Edition 30: You've Got 90 Days Left

Feeling drained? It's probably not because you are tired.
It's because you don't have personal goals.
No goals = no energy.
No energy = no momentum.
And the easy trap? Telling yourself, “I’ll reset in January.”
But here’s the science: the last 90 days of the year is one of the most powerful reset windows. Psychologists call it the fresh start effect - your brain loves meaningful time markers. And October 1st is just as good as January 1st.
So instead of waiting, let’s use the next 90 days to build energy and focus.
One Work + One Personal Goal:
Keep it simple: pick just TWO things.
→ 1 small work goal. Finish a project, close a gap, or sharpen one skill.
→ 1 small personal goal. 15 minutes of movement, nightly journaling, or finally starting that hobby.
Not just work. Not just personal. Both.
Habit Stacking (Your Shortcut to Consistency):
Goals fail when they float in isolation. They stick when you anchor them to something you already do:
→ “After my morning coffee, I’ll review my top 3 priorities.”
→ “When I close my laptop, I’ll jot down 3 wins from the day.”
Tiny anchors compound.
Real Stories from Our Community:
When Sarah shared about personal goal-setting on LinkedIn, the comments said it all:
"This post is exactly what I needed! I'm realizing the same thing and slowly trying to set goals and even find more hobbies to create balance and fulfillment!"
"I never made time for hobbies earlier in my career and wish I had. A few years ago, I took golf lessons... this year I joined a tennis team. It's been a game-changer."
Goals don't take energy away from your work. They give it back.
