Edition 72: Team Growth Goes Viral

That was a big deal. I practiced a lot… because I wanted to make you all look good."
That's what a national MSL leader told her team after nailing her presentation at their POA.
She could've played it cool. "Oh, it was nothing." Most people do.
She didn't. She told the truth. She'd worked hard for them.
We knew this team was different!
We'd come in to run storytelling and executive presence training. But the best example in the room wasn't on our slides. It was her.
Here's what stood out:
→ She did the work before we got there. She shared specific ways she wanted the team to grow. She emphasized behaviors and never singled out a person.
→ She got out of 'the way. During the training, she listened. She didn't jump in, didn't correct, didn't take over the room to prove she was the smartest one. She gave her team the floor and let them shine.
→ Her team celebrated each other, out loud. "You should've seen what [name] pulled off." Pride, spreading around the room without anyone asking for it.
That's a team where growth goes viral! And it started with one person deciding recognition was worth the time.
Here's the part where you probably nod.
You want to do this.
You want your people to feel seen.
But between flights, fires, and a full inbox, you don’t have time. You meant to say something. You never did.
That's not a you problem. It's a system problem.
The number one reason people leave a job isn't pay. It's not feeling appreciated. And in the field, feeling invisible is the default setting.
Make Your Team's Growth Go Viral
If you just thought, "yeah, I want to recognize my people, I just don't have a system"... this one's for you.
How to Make Your Team's Growth Go Viral | JUL 28 @ 6 PM CT
We'll build an AI agent together that catches the behaviors worth celebrating and helps you recognize them consistently.
You'll walk out with:
→ A simple way to spot recognition-worthy moments across your whole team
→ An AI agent that makes recognition a habit instead of a someday
→ A team that stops wondering, "does any of this even matter?"
MSL's Got Talent: The Golden Buzzer Game
You know the Golden Buzzer, the one that sends someone straight to the finals while gold confetti rains down. It doesn't say "great job." It says this deserves to go viral.
4 real MSL moments. Which one do you hit the buzzer for?
A) The MSL leader who practiced their presentation a dozen times so the whole team looked good in front of leadership.
B) The new MSL who asked the "dumb" question everyone else was too nervous to ask.
C) The MSL who hyped up a teammate's win on the team call, by name, and exactly what made it so good.
D) The MSL who owned a meeting that flopped, figured out what they'd do differently, and shared it back with the team so everyone learned from it.
The answer: all of them. That's the trick.
Great leaders hit the buzzer way more than they think they're allowed to.
So, who on your team deserves it this week?
TL;DR
→ People don't leave jobs. They leave feeling invisible.
→ Coach behaviors, not people.
→ When a leader treats a win like it mattered, the whole team learns theirs matters too.
→ Recognition spreads but someone has to start it, and it works best with a system. (Come build the AI agent with us.)

In your corner always, Patrina, Sarah, Ralph, & Jess
P.S. Recognition isn't always a trophy. Sometimes it's an açaà bowl. After one of our trips, Patrina surprised me with one at the airport. The smallest "I see you" almost always lands harder than the big award. Go be somebody's airport açaà bowl this week.
P.P.S. That leader's team didn't get that good by accident. Our storytelling & executive presence training is what put us in the room with them. Want it for yours? Just reply PRESENCE.
