At MSL Mastery, we know the feeling of scrambling to find what you need fast all too well. Sometimes even we struggle to find the right blog post, course, or resource we know we wrote.

Meanwhile, our inboxes and LinkedIn DMs were overflowing. Every week, MSLs, aspiring MSLs, training leaders, MSL leads, and Medical Affairs teams reached out with questions, ideas, and requests for help. And every week, we felt the same ache:

We wanted to help every single person. But the reality? Human hours have limits.

That’s when the idea of building a smarter, faster, more human AI guide took hold, and we couldn’t let it go.

The Real Story Behind Mira, the MSL Mastery Chatbot

The idea for an MSL-focused chatbot wasn’t new.

Patrina had been quietly working on MSL chatbots behind the scenes since July 2024. But life, projects, and about a thousand Zoom calls got in the way of bringing it fully to life.

And if Patrina has learned anything over the last year, it’s this:

Together, we picked the idea back up, dusted it off, and got serious about creating something special:

• A real partner for the Medical Affairs community built with heart, strategy, and a little late-night determination.

From the start, we weren’t just chasing convenience, we were pushing the edge of what Medical Affairs support could look like. Innovation isn’t a buzzword for us; it’s the heartbeat behind everything we build.

We were thinking about you, the MSL navigating complex career paths, the Medical Affairs leader searching for the right team workshop, the professional who just needed answers without spending 30 minutes clicking around on page 12 of Google.

We mapped out all the key questions people ask. We sorted through articles and resources. We built messy Excel spreadsheets with more than 1,000 rows of information. (Yes, it got a little nerdy. We loved it.)

And we didn’t do it alone. Our Associate Director of Operations, Ralph, was a crucial force behind organizing the chaos and structuring Mira’s brain. We owe a huge thank-you to him for helping turn a wild dream into a working reality.
