Edition 69: Fireworks or Duds

Last July 4th, Sarah’s husband spent 20 minutes hyping up “the big one” he’d saved for last. Cleared the path. Made everyone stand back. Announced it (as if the neighbors hadn’t already heard him bragging about it all week).

He only had one shot. And he was not throwing it away.

He lit it.

It hissed. 

Sparked once. 

Died.

Silence. Then a kid yelled “AGAIN!” and the whole yard lost it laughing.

This is basically Medical Affairs and AI right now. 

Everyone’s got a shot at their “big one.” Some AI initiatives genuinely light up the sky. Others hiss and die (and that’s ok), we are all learning together.

Before you light anything else this weekend, a quick game.

Fireworks or Duds

Label each one F or D:

1. You paste your resume into AI and ask it to rewrite your bullets for an MSL resume.
2. You save a prompt that worked once and reuse it every time.
3. You spend an hour building a full AI agent for a task you do weekly, instead of re-prompting from scratch each time.
4. You paste raw congress notes into AI, take what comes out, and send it to your boss.

Answers: 

1. Dud -  you will sound like every other candidate. 

2. Firework -  you are starting small and reliable. 

3. Firework - you’re running the finale, not a sparkler. 

4. Dud, and a loud one - your boss can tell and is annoyed.
