Edition 32: AI Origin Story

Everyone in Medical Affairs has an AI Origin Story (even if yours hasn’t started yet).
Maybe you've already had that "Aha" moment when you realized AI isn't a shortcut, it's a way to think better.
Or maybe, you're still waiting for it to click. Either way, we saw that moment happen live this week when training a Medical Affairs team on AI.
That's the shift we want for you too!
This newsletter is designed to help you spark your own AI "aha" moment: with real stories, a prompt to try right now, and a free plug-and-play prompt pack to get started.
Because the only way to learn AI is to get your hands dirty with it. The longer you wait, the more you fall behind.
Patrina: From Reluctant Try to Everyday Essential
Her husband had been bugging her to try AI for months. "It'll help you with your business," he kept saying.
Finally on a birthday trip to Mexico in 2023, she gave it a shot. She typed in a question into ChatGPT, hit enter, and thought:
"That's it? This is what everyone's talking about?"
Turns out the problem wasn't AI. It was not knowing what to do with it.
She started experimenting. Slowly. A little research here. A quick brainstorming session there.
Fast foward 3 months: she spends hours in it every week to spark ideas, save time, plan her week, and analyze her personal journals.
AI has helped her reclaim hours of her week and has trained 100s of Medical Affairs professionals to do the same.
Sarah: The Realization That AI Thinks Like a Scientist
Sarah’s "click" moment came in a less likely place- recruiting.
She was building Boolean search strings using AI and realized the logic could dramatically help MSLs.
She dug in, learned the ins and outs of AI, and now chats with AI on her morning runs to draft slides & refine MSL Mastery strategy.
AI Training for Medical Affairs Teams: Watching The "Aha" Happen Live
On Tuesday, we trained a Medical Affairs team on AI. It started with a simple ice breaker.
We watched their eyes open wide when they saw how much better one small wording tweak could make their results.
That's when it clicked for them.
Prompting isn't about asking questions. It's about giving direction.
If your team is struggling to use AI, they need 2 things:
1. A simple prompting framework
2. Real examples of how to apply it in Medical Affairs
That's exactly what we bring to our AI training. Reply to this email if you'd like to bring it to your team.
The shift from curiosity to confidence is exactly what we want for you.
Spark Your Own AI Moment
Copy and paste this prompt into Mira this week:
“Show me 3 ways AI could help me save time in my Medical Affairs role this week — one for admin, one for insights, and one for personal productivity.”
It only takes one good result to turn curiosity into confidence.
